School Description and Mission Statement

This section provides information about the school’s goals and programs.

This is the nineteenth year of the School Accountability Report Card that was established by Proposition 98, an initiative passed by California voters.  As you read the Report Card, you will gain a better understanding of Eissler as a school with a history of excellence, a faculty that is professionally skilled and personally committed to meeting the learning needs of students and a student body, which is enthusiastic and motivated to perform well.

The mission of the Eissler community is to provide a supportive and challenging learning environment, which will help all students reach their highest potential in order to develop into responsible, productive, contributing members of society.

Opportunities for Parental Involvement

This section provides information about opportunities for parents to become involved with school activities.

Eissler parents are involved in many aspects of the school both formally through the School Site Council and English Learners Advisory Committee and informally through classroom visits, parent conferences, Student Intervention Team meetings and Individualized Educational Program meetings. The school maintains a visitor policy that encourages parent participation in the classroom while keeping interruptions of instruction at a minimum. A quarterly newsletter is published which contains information about the school that parents find necessary and useful. The Booster Club raises funds to purchase playground equipment, improve the school grounds, helps pay for field trips including Camp KEEP, provide books for the library and awards for athletics, music, perfect attendance and Accelerated Reader. School communications are provided to families in English and Spanish. Back-To-School Night gives teachers the opportunity to explain the standard-based curriculum and share classroom rules and expectations for student conduct. For details about meeting dates and times for all parent organizations, please contact the Specially Funded Clerk at 631-5250.
