School Description and Mission Statement

This section provides information about the school’s goals and programs.

This is the nineteenth year of the School Accountability Report Card that was established by Proposition 98, an initiative passed by California voters.  As you read the Report Card, you will gain a better understanding of Pioneer Drive as a school with a record for improvement, a faculty that is professionally skilled and personally committed to meeting the learning needs of students and a student body which is enthusiastic and motivated to perform well.

The mission of Pioneer DrivePioneer Drive will become a model of excellence and a source of pride for our community.

At Pioneer Drive, we believe:

1.       Student learning is the chief priority for our school.

2.       The commitment to continuous improvement is imperative if our school is going to enable students and staff to become confident, self-directed, life-long learners.

3.       Each student is a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional, cultural and intellectual needs.

4.       Parents, students and staff share the responsibility for student learning.

5.       Parent involvement is crucial to the academic success of our students.

6.       Schools need to function as a learning organization and promote opportunities for all those who have a stake in the success of the school to work together as a community of learners.

Positive relationships and mutual respect among and between students, parents, community and staff enhance a student’s self-esteem and academic potential.
